Puppy Games: Part 2

While Nigel likes to make loud noises,
Kylie loves to watch Animal Planet.
She is fascinated with dog shows
and has to look behind or under
the television when the dog
disappears from the screen.

Here is a picture of Kylie trying
to find a dog under the TV.
It’s not a great image
but it will make you laugh.

Puppy Games

We gave Nigel a hard nylar bone
a few weeks ago to distract him
from chewing the baseboards.
We think he invented a new game.

He started by dropping the bone
on the hardwood floors so it would
create a lot of noise.
He became more venturesome and
started tossing the bone in the air
so it made even more noise when
it hit the ground.

Last Saturday I took the bone away
in an attempt to create some quietness.
Nigel ran downstairs
brought up my metal 3 lb yoga free weight
tossed it up in the air
and wagged his tail when it
smashed to the floor.

And now he has figured out
the loudest method.
He stands at the top of the hardwood stairs
tosses his bone and
wags his body and tail in
pure excitement as the house is filled
with the echoes of a bone
crashing down each step,
finally landing on the tile floor.

Our puppy is brilliant!
And we have headaches.

16 Weeks

Growing Pains and other Woes

Our little baby Weddick
is now 5.5 inches and
starting to grow fast.
And my body is getting ready.
Last week I had
growing pains in my stomach,
where my ligaments and muscles
are stretching.

On top of that, my face
is breaking out
and yesterday I started to cry
but didn’t know why.
Good thing Graham is
an amazing husband and
knows to comfort me
in times like this.

Pregnancy is awesome, really.

Baby Kicks

Early Saturday morning
I felt something in my tummy
It was like popcorn popping
I told Graham it might have been the baby
He said it was more likely gas
But I think I’m right
